Tell us about the project “A Hero on the court - a Hero in Life”. How did this idea come up?
The project “A Hero on the court - a Hero in Life” is a social video about the athlete from the Parma basketball club showing by personal example that everyone can donate blood and become a hero. Parma Basketball Club was founded in 2012 and has an active social policy since its inception. It collaborates with charitable organizations and foundations. The club through its social networks and home games, together with partners and fans, helps families, and especially children, who find themselves in difficult life situations. The initiators of cooperation in this project were employees of the Perm Regional Blood Transfusion Station. This ultimately led to a large-scale event and friendship.
How was the project implemented? Were there difficulties, how did you manage them?
Together with the guys from the blood service, the idea came up to create a video with the participation of the club's players and show it in the pre-match video clip before the game so that a large number of people who came to the match could see it, since the attendance of the games is very high. After the game, the video was posted on the club’s social networks, partner social networks, on television, on information screens in shopping centers, Perm International Airport. In creating the video, fortunately there were no difficulties, we all proved to be one team, doing an excellent job.
What are the results after the end of the project?
I really hope that the number of donors has increased. The video is still shown at Perm airport.
