The competition was being held by the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Association of Transfusiologists” from September 2018 to April 2019. The winners were determined in the following nominations: the maximum number of blood donations; the maximum number of donations of blood and its components; the maximum number of platelet donations; donor dynasty; regional leader of the donor movement.
Rustem Magsumovich Khabibrakhmanov from Kazan became the winner in the nomination "The maximum number of blood donations", he gave blood 102 times, it is 45.9 liters of blood.
“Currently Rustem Magsumovich is 61 years old, for the first time he came to donate blood in 19, having learned about patients who needed blood transfusions and responded to a call for help. The competition was attended by many regions of Russia from Kamchatka Territory and the Republic of Buryatia to the Kaliningrad Region, from the Republic of Karelia to the North Caucasus republics, which submitted more than two hundred best blood donors and its components to the competition.
