This is the second joint donor day for companies. Ivi has launched thematic collections of movies about the kindness that people showed in wartime, as well as films inspiring good things, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Victory in support of the “Dobro shirokogo formata” campaign.
Five years ago, the LG donor marathon visited 5 cities of heroes and military glory, and now in 2020 both companies are again turning to the most important date - the Great Patriotic War. During the Great Patriotic War the number of donors reached 5.5 million people, and 15,000 were awarded the badge “Honorary Donor of the USSR”.
The “Dobro shirokogo formata” campaign was supported by LG’s good deeds ambassador actress Daria Moroz and director Yegor Konchalovsky, as well as friends of the company - actress Olga Kabo, TV presenters Julia Baranovskaya and Alesya Shikun, founder of PR Trend agency Ekaterina Odintsova, designers Alisa Tolkacheva and Anna Russka.
The Donor Day was held in Moscow, at ivi's main office, with the support of the Blood Center of the FMBA Russia. LG and ivi employees participated in the donor action.
“We are pleased with the active participation of our long-standing partners in business and social projects in the LG corporate donor movement. Together with ivi online cinema, in the year of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which is important for the whole country, we support the memory of the kindness of donors in those difficult years, as well as the desire of the modern generation in Russia to volunteer and help each other” - Mr. Il Hwan Lee, the President of LG Electronics in Russia and countries CIS.
“It's great that in the year of our decade we can recall the importance of good deeds - that it is necessary to make good things a habit. We are glad that together with LG we are able to show by our own example how easy it is to save lives by becoming a blood donor” - Oleg Tumanov, General manager of ivi online cinema.
