The Gavrilov Blood Center collects blood and its components for medical institutions in Moscow. In the current epidemic situation, when citizens of Moscow and residents of the Moscow Region must observe a regime of self-isolation and restrict movement around the city for no good reason, it will become more difficult for donors to get to the center for blood donation. But donor blood and its components are still needed by hundreds of people every day.

From March 30 to April 5, the Gavrilov Blood Center will operate according to the standard schedule, seven days a week. Donors are allowed to travel to this place.
“A lot of our donors are students who, due to quarantine in educational institutions, blocking social travel cards and mandatory self-isolation, have difficulty traveling to Moscow. Citimobil’s help with transportation donors to the place of donation and back home, will let to avoid a situation with a significant shortage of donated blood. We encourage donors to use taxis to reduce the risk of contact with potentially infected people. In the Transfusion Centers, all the necessary safety measures are followed, which allow donating blood without any threat to health” - Olga Mayorova, head doctor of the Blood Center.
From 27th of March, Citimobil began carrying out free trips for the staff of the Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine, which currently treats more than 100 coronavirus infected patients. Earlier, the service announced the launch of a financial support program for drivers who collaborate with the service and will be forced to stop working due to the self-isolation regime because of the coronavirus.
