In the medical institutions of Sevastopol, the required amount of donated blood is currently missing. The appeal of the Sevastopol Blood Center about donation was answered by the personnel of the motorized regiment of the Russian Guard.
“It is not the first good deed of our regiment. Over the years, fighters have regularly donated blood for people injured in traffic accidents, for children who have received domestic injuries, and all who need it. Today we got another opportunity to come to the rescue of Sevastopol’s” - lieutenant colonel Alexander Timin, unit commander.
Several military personnel and employees of the Southern District of the Russian Guard are already holding the title of Honorary Donor of Russia. Each of them has donated blood more than 40 times.
“The servicemen provided the Center with serious and urgently needed assistance. Now there is a shortage of blood in the city - too many applications come from hospitals - the increased number of cases of the flu and other acute respiratory infections is affecting, in addition, the need for maternity hospitals has also increased” - Elena Zhueva, head nurse of the Sevastopol City Blood Center.
