At a meeting with Forum participants Ms. Malyavina spoke of social responsibility and volunteerism. She emphasized the role of society in general and yuong people in particular, in implementing the promotion Programme of mass voluntary donation of blood and blood components. Through the efforts of the Health Ministry of Russia and the Federal Medical-Biological Agency (FMBA of Russia) Russian donor movement has been established and is successfully developing . Young people take a most active part in it. Donor Days are held in many Russian universities. Young people do not only regularly donate blood, but also help as volunteers in carrying out the federal donor actions Day donor age, "Thank you, donor", "Moto-Donor", "Donors'Saturday" and events on regional level.
Assistant Minister noted that business is also actively involved in the promotion of donor movement. The pioneer of corporate volunteerism in blood donation is the company LG Electronics. Director of Public Relations of LG Electronics in Russia and CIS countries Tatiana Shahnes also participated in the opening of the sessions "Technology of good" and "Run after me". Addressing the forum participants T. Shahnes said:
- As a company, which has more power and operating in Russia, we fully agree with the need to solve the most pressing problems of society. Both work on the promotion of unpaid donation, and work with young people are extremely important to us.
On 13 and 14 July the All-Russian Educational Forum "Seliger - 2011" will hold Donor Days. A mobile blood storage complex will be set in the camp, where participants of sessions will be able to donate blood.
