In her opening remarks, the Chairperson of the Public Chamber Commission on social issues and population policy Ms Nikolaeva, congratulated younger generation and professionals who are directly related to the implementation of youth policies on the coming Day of Russian Youth. Elena Nikolaeva expressed disagreement with the opinion of the catastrophic condition of the young generation in the context of solving important social problems. She called such statements unfair. Elena Nikolaeva also noted that young people can make a valuable contribution to the development of donor movement, as young people are a social base for social change and as a potential creative force are interested in a consistent and radical change in society.

Advisor to the Health Ministry of Russia Ms Gryaznova spoke about youth participation in the promotion Program of mass voluntary donation of blood and blood components in the Russian Federation, answered the questions from the round table and made some constructive suggestions for further work on the organization of blood donation.
Director of the Department of Youth Policy and Public Relations of the Ministry of Sport, Tourism and Youth Policy Mr Gusev offered to coordinate the activities of various agencies in the organization of work in promoting blood donation and expressed readiness to cooperate with the Health Ministry of Russia. He suggested that every major event held for young people, should contain elements of blood donation promotion. Using the opportunity offered by videoconference, Mr Gusev addressed the regional agencies on youth affairs. He asked to work more closely with health authorities in the organization of joint activities in blood donation.
The situation with blood donation in the capital was of particular concern to the participants of the meeting. Despite the fact that the authorities of the capital region are taking several measures to provide health care facilities with donor blood, they have failed to reverse the situation so far .
Executive Director of NF "National Fund for Healthcare Development" Elena Stefanyuk offered to organize the work among Moscow students on a regular basis.
- When the National Fund for Healthcare Development was holding Donor Days in the Department of blood transfusion in the first city Hospital, Head of the Department Mr Belov asked to assist in the creation of first intercollegiate student Blood Center in the blood transfustion station of the city Hospital in Moscow, which will contribute to the hospital blood components provision on a regular basis.
The idea of creating such a center is not accidental. There are three major institutions of higher education near the hospital. According to Elena Stefanyuk this proposal should be supported.
The round table also heard presentations of Donor movement organizers of Moscow, Kemerovo, Petrozavodsk, Belgorod, St. - Petersburg, Nalchik.
Following the results of the round table a resolution will be prepared, which will reflect the recommendations aimed at the promotion of blood donation among young people.
