In most cities, blood transfusion stations will work in the office of NOMOS-BANK and its subsidiary banks. Donated blood will be sent to seriously ill people who are in dire need of transfusions. Blood, donated by the NOMOS-BANK employees in Moscow, will be sent to young patients, the Republican Children's Hospital, which for many years has been taken care of by the Fund "Give Life".
According to statistics, every third person at least once in his life needs a blood transfusion, but in Russia there is a shortage of donors: 13-15 donors per a thousand people, while to ensure normal provision of those who are in need of blood from 40 to 60 people are required.
NOMOS-BANK has been actively involved in the donor movement and has attached great importance to promotion of corporate donation. In 2010, the Bank supported by the Federal Medical-Biological Agency and the Fund "Give Life" held the All-Russian donor marathon “Light your heart!”. Along with the bank employees businesses and companies that are its corporate clients were invited to take part in it.
