To date, the total number of blood donors in Russia has increased by 4.2%, the number of plasma donors - by 11.6%. The number of donors per 1000 people is 14 people, while in 2007 this figure was 12. In 2011, the program includes the institutions of 25 regions and 7 federal agencies of Blood Service. Furthermore, this year's communication campaign for promotion of Blood service covers all 83 regions.
