Past and present children-patients of the Russian Children Clinical Hospital (RDKB) came to help donors and, of course, to thank them personally. Together with the holiday host - Co-Founder of “Give Life” Chulpan Khamatova - the children confirmed: “Donors are everything for us. We love them, appreciate and cherish them. Our donors are very modest people, they silently and not publicly make an incredibly important thing - save children”.
The Deputy Director FNKTS DGOI Galina Novichkova thanked donors on behalf of the doctors. She also reminded the guests that about 500 patients would be treated in the Center for Pediatric Hematology at the same time. And to provide them with donated blood and blood components, at least 30 donors will have to come to blood transfusion department of the Centre every day. Ms Novichkova asked donors to come to them more often. And so that they do not get lost, blood transfusion department tour was arranged for them just during the celebration, which was conducted brilliantly by the department head Dr. Pavel Trakhtman. During this tour, donors saw that the department was equipped with the latest technology, and the chairs in the donor room were very comfortable.
Volunteers of donor project were also thanked on this festive day: volunteers from the call center and on duty at blood transfusion stations - all those who help to distribute properly the flow of those desiring to donate blood, urgently call a donor with a required blood group to the blood transfusion station, and finally, encourage the freshmen!
After congratulations donors decided to share the good mood with the whole world - and dozens of bright red balloons were flying in the sky above the Center of Pediatric Hematology. Donors are the best in giving gifts, smiles and joy! At the end of the event guests saw exquisite performance of vocal and instrumental ensemble “Tatiana” - donors began to dance to well-known songs!
