More than 40 donors have taken part in the Donor Saturday in the Russian Children’s Clinical Hospital

There were young people, students and adults, whole families came, and some were getting to RCCH in traffic jams for several hours. All comers were made express blood test and then they gave whole blood. Anyone could consult on blood donations the members of the initiative group “Donors for children”. After giving blood, all donors received small souvenirs.

The organizers of the event say thank you to all who found time and came to RCCH to make an important and useful work! Transfusion of blood components is one of the main elements of the patients’ treatment in RCCH suffering from haematological diseases. Thanks to the Donor Saturday participants the children became a little closer to recovery!
