Employees of Gameland Company and LG Electronics became volunteers, taking part in the campaign. Before the campaign the employees got the information about importance of corporate donation voluntarism and booklets about how to prepare for blood donation and contra-indications. Tatyana Shakhness, PR manager of LG Electronics, member of the Coordination Council under the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and Dmitri Agarunov, general director of mediacompany made a speech for the Gameland personnel on the importance of corporate donation, which inspired many employees to take part in the donation campaign. Many participants donated not for the first time. It shows that for these people blood donation is a part of their lives and they sincerely want to help other people. In addition, it reflects that they have healthy life-style.
-The problem of blood donation in Russia is rather serious and business community can’t stand aside of its solution. That’s the reason why we have decided to take part in the campaign. For us it is a real opportunity to help saving many people’s lives,
Every year about a million Russian people need donor blood. But the people regularly giving blood to help those in need are much fewer than there should be.
This donor campaign has made it possible to make a real contribution to the solution of an urgent social problem and made for strengthening of the corporate culture in LG Electronics and Gameland.
Promotion of blood donation concept among business and media communities, young people, involvement of star ambassadors, holding of regular Blood Donor Days in Moscow and other regions – all this shows that the idea of blood donation in LG has become a part of the corporate culture, uniting employees and strengthening team spirit, and aimed at active support of blood donor movement in Russia.
