MUSARTERIA is a creative contest which offers young contestants to write a song in support of donor voluntary movement. The Blood Service has invited to take part everyone who donate blood, are ready to become volunteers for the Blood Service, or who care for donorship and are ready to express their support to the idea of unpaid voluntary donation of blood and its components.
From 24 September to 30 October 2011 anyone can post on the page of the contest on our website lyrics or a record of a song expressing gratitude and support to volunteers and blood donors and a call to join the donor voluntary movement.
The panel of judges consisting of stars of Russian show business, representatives of the Ministry of Health and Social Development and the Russian Federal Medical-Biological Agency will select 10 songs by the contest results.
Best performers from all over Russia will come to Moscow to participate together with the popular singers in studio recording of selected songs about voluntary movement and blood donation. The most talented and caring young people will sing their songs at a final concert of the contest where the winner will be determined by open voting. The concert which will take place in Moscow on 3 December will gather more than 2000 people and will be broadcast by the federal TV channels. A video of the winning song will be shot with the participation of all finalists of the Contest “MUSARTERIA”.
The Ministry of Health and Social Development and the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia has been implementing the State Program for the Blood Service Promotion for already 4 years. This year we have decided to talk with young people about donorship and voluntary movement by means of music contest since it is music that can unite us all and give our young volunteers and donors a chance to express their feelings.
Nobody can feel secured against accidents and help can be needed any moment. So it is very important to help each other. Anyone of us can become a donor or a volunteer. This does not require any sacrifice or a lot of time. It takes only a few minutes to save somebody’s life. I was glad to agree to participate in this contest and I hope that it will help to involve in donorship first of all a new young generation.
The Contest “MUSARTERIA” is conducted in the framework of implementation of the State Promotion Program of blood and its components donation which has been implemented by the Russian Ministry of Health and Social Development and the Federal Medical-Biological Agency since 2008.
