The mobile blood station is designed for collecting donor blood and its components in field conditions. Besides, the Chechen healthcare has received from the federal center two minibuses for storing and transport of blood.
The new equipment presentation was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Chechen Republic Isa Tumkhadzhiev and Healthcare Minister Shakhid Akhmadov. The honoured guests tool a look at the mobile complex and familiarized themselves with blood collecting process.
According to the Head Doctor at the Republican blood transfusion station Zara Tatayeva the complex is equipped with high-tech machines for pre-donation tests of the donors:
- This is the first mobile blood procurement complex in the Chechen Republic. Until now medics of blood transfusion stations worked on visits in premises adapted for the procedures. We had to take the equipment with us on visits. This not only complicated the work on medics but affected the quality of donor blood components. We hope that from now on the situation will change fundamentally. The mobile station is equipped with all the necessary equipment for collecting, storage and transport of blood. There are special chairs for donors, a cool-air unit, monitor, doctor’s room, laboratory and many other things.
