In Chuvashia, the results of «Donor Month» were summed up. This Campaign was held for youth and students of the Republic from October 1 to December 1 and was organized by the Ministry of Health of Chuvashia, the Public Council for Donation, and the representatives of youth organizations.
More than 400 students from 14 educational institutions of the capital - Cheboksary – and the whole Republic took part in the Campaign over the past month, 150 of them have become donors. Special activity was shown by the students the Chuvash State University named after I.N. Ulyanov, a branch of the St. Petersburg State Engineering and Economic University, and the Chuvash State Agricultural Academy.
Many people have noted that they learned a lot of new things about blood donation during the Campaign, for example, why it is important to come to the blood station again after 6 months, that the patients receive plasma only after six month quarantine, what is Plasma Bank, etc.
