November 28, 2012 a meeting of the Coordinating Center for blood donation was held at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation to discuss «Socially-oriented non-profit organizations in the area of blood donation in the context of the nationwide problems of blood donation».
Members of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Federal Medical-Biological Agency of Russia, the Blood Center of FMBA of Russia, public organizations and associations, and blood donors took part in the videoconference.
The representatives of the state and non-profit donor associations from Chelyabinsk, Kazan, Ufa, Tver, Penza reported on the donor movement in the regions through videoconferencing. Video conference participants discussed successful practices of interaction between authorities and non-profit organizations in addressing blood donation problems.
