On that day, there were many visitors at the House of Veterans, mostly young people. Some of them were filling forms, others were waiting for the medical check-up and others gave blood for hemoglobin test. If it’s ok (from 120 g/l), a person becomes a donor.
Only 33 people were able to donate, 7 of 40 citizens couldn’t donate because of the health problems. During the day 14,9 liters of blood were collected.
Natalia came to The House of Veterans answering the call of the heart:
«I am a donor already, and when I found out about this campaign, I decided to help children. I will defiantly participate in such events in future».
Her friend Eugenia came here to help children:
«When my daughter had an operation we had a problem of lack of blood. I have a popular type of blood, the A+, and I hope I can help children. Blood Bank should be maintained constantly».
«We are holding The Day of Donor with Moscow blood transfusion station. All collected blood will be sent to support children with oncology and kids who are being treated in the pediatric ward of the regional cancer center in Balashiha» – president of the fund and the citizen of Istra Stanislav Titov said. – This is our first campaign. We held the same campaign in Krasnogorsk on September 7. We are planning to support disable children, kids in orphan homes».
Stanislav said, that the administration of the district decided to support the Fund and gave them a room at Rabochaya street for free.
«I’m sure that we can help children by doing specific deeds. For example, by conducting the Day of donor. – Stanislav said. – There are many people partial to donor movement, who are always ready to help. We announced the campaign through the internet and people heard us and came to donate blood. We are planning to work not only in Istra district, but to help everyone, who is in need. Local businesses support us – members of dance studio «Step up», «Night wolves» club, and different sport clubs of district helped us, they came to donate».

The fund, which was created a month ago, has just started working and doesn’t have serious sponsorship. But Stanislav Titov is sure, that all the good deeds, planned by the Fund, would definitely be implemented.
The Fund is planning an action on September 23.
