Not only professional artists worked on the wall’s transformation, anyone could participate in the process.
Going through the underpass you can learn how to become a donor, what is allowed and not before a donation. Volunteers of Crimea made a motivation set of rules out of the Simferopol’s underground.
This is the third underpass in Simferopol transformed into a piece of art.
Transformation took 2 days and now walls are covered with pictures illustrating the process of blood donation – how to prepare, what happens afterwards, what benefits a person gets out of blood donation. According to volunteers, those walls are not only informational, but also motivational.
«I’m a blood donor, I often go through this underpass to the blood transfusion station. I want this art-object to inspire people to save others life and to motivate them to become a donor. The idea of the donor underpass was suggested by students of arts», – said Natalia Martynets, a volunteer.
The volunteers are not going to stop at this point. At the end of November they are starting working on the firth object – "clever" underpass will appear at Kirov Avenue.
Valeria Petrusevich, head of a non-profit organization "World’s goodness – volunteers of Crimea", noticed:
"We have received a small grant for the implementation of the «clever» underpass from the Ministry of education. Next underpass will be educational – it will be related to underwater world and birds of Crimea, registered at the Red List. Walls will be illustrated with 20 birds and underwater inhabitants".
